A few photos from bow echo storm line
This storm hit us Thursday. It was a bow echo storm line and really produced some very unusual looking cloud formations and lighting both before and after it came through. I snapped a few pictures though I wish I had realized it was coming sooner so I could have gotten more of the clouds coming in from farther away. I thought I'd share here.
The radar

Coming overhead, this line is where tornadoes often form along the leading edge of bow echoes

Got myself inside after that as the straightline winds and lightning were starting. But after the brunt of it had passed there was some interesting/odd lighting with the sun setting behind/below more storm clouds. It was dark in some areas and yet the sun was light a spotlight and hitting just tops of some trees, and an area where there was a double rainbow.

Turning around from the rainbow:

It was fascinating to watch although a bit scary as it roared in.
