The Tribe checks in

Yeah, we've been out of touch for a while. But Mom and Dad gave us the best present ever this spring! An enclosed deck/porch! All PT cats are invited to drop by for a cool glass of lemonade and a chat on our porch this summer. Here's some pictures a few days after it was completed and we were all allowed out for a promenade on the deck.

I'll gather some photos of the whole process - we did it in two phases to get to this point. Next we are going to add a permanent roof - right now it is just lattice and we would like to keep out the rain eventually.
I'll post them and send you a link on tribeof7.com - give me a couple of days to find all the photo files.

We did all the work ourselves - hubby is very handy at designing and we both have woodworking skills and the tools to do it, so cost was materials only - and sweat on our part. I would say $800-$1000 so far - the roof and gutter system will be at least that in addition.

Well I'm glad to see that you have not just frittered away your time while you have not been here. :D What a fantastic porch you have built. It looks so cool and airy, and The Tribe will be grateful for it during the whole summer.
