Well as i posted 2 hikers were missing here... It has not been on the news yet here but i heard from my mom as the company they both these people worked for have put the word out...
They are dead... They both fell into a ravine....
This is so hard ... I feel so ill i wish i could have done something... i havn't been able to stop crying since i found out.... The poor families and friends of these young people...
Correction.. The only one who was found was the female passed away. The male is still missing... :(
That is just aweful. Such a tragedy. Thanks for the update as solemn as it is.
How horrible, Melissa:( What a tragic loss. Being so near the event, it must be especially hard for you. The poor families:(:(:(
That mountain is right outside our window, We look at it everyday and are amazed by it's beauty... It is hard to think something like this could happen...

A friend of mine was hiking with her then-boyfriend (now husband) in the mountains of New Zealand, when he fell and hurt his leg badly. Thankfully Chris is a former lifeguard, and had lots of first-aid training, and was able to help him up, get him to a safer spot, keep him warm when shock set in, and get help, so it had a happier ending. They did make the NZ newspapers, though!

I have not had the nerv to turn on the news yet but seeing as it is 7am here i don't think there willl be much news yet.
She was walking on a ice feild ontop of the mountain. She ended up on the east side of the mountain after her fall of 153 meters.
The guy is suppost to be a advid hiker with loads of experience so i'm Praying he didn't fall with her...

I hope that find the other hiker. Not meaning to change the subject or sound unsympathetic, but what a beautiful view you have. It is so odd how something so beautiful and captivating could be so lethal and mysterious.
