Looks- Show
Temerament- a mix between the two since I am not in a position to own a real working dog right now.
I prefer conformation looks but to be honest, I love them all.
My two now are from stock dogs, and you can definitely tell with Charlie.
Idk, I love them all the same. :)
No preference, as long as it is a good, healthy dog! I have never seen why they decide to separate standards for show and working dogs - ridiculous to me.
Working, by far. I'm not a fan of how stocky/square built the show Aussies are. They're pretty, but I like the lighter coat and lighter/leaner build of working type Aussies.
Both have their merits. I like the square build of the show aussie, but I love the ears up and the longer face of some working types. The show face starts to get a little too squished.
I prefere working type in all breeds.
Which type of Aussie do I prefer?
MINE! :D
I guess she is along the show lines. The breeder said she wanted to show her but the marking's on her ears were a flaw. WHAT EVER!! I'm glad for that because now she is my little girl. :) And I wouldn't care which type she is anyway.
Oh, I honestly am unable to say I like one more than the other. I have sat here for nearly five minutes comparing the two, and they both have plenty of pros. I do not necessarily see either as having flaws.
Then again, I do not give the slightest care to how a dog looks. They all have beauty.
I conclude that... it is a tie. :)

definatly working. Show aussies are nice to look at..BUT, looks shouldn't be a top priority in a working breed. Form should always follow function, so I have to choose working.
I have to admit that I really like the way show Aussies look. I love, love, love their gait. However, I prefer working type over show type for all breeds.
Working lines in all breeds for me ;). I would rather a dog that could work, over one that looks 'pretty' and cant.
I would rather have a pretty dog that can work too. Breeds start getting into trouble when you start making a seperation between form and function. Just MHO. :o
