The setup
Leaving to go to the grocery store.
Gave Charlie Cat of the Day a quick pat.
There is a pet door to the outside in the family room.

Cue the action
Back car out of the garage and close the garage door from the car.
Garage door starts backup. Look to see a furry tail with orange bloomers trotting up the garage to the door into the house.

Analysis
Only a cat would go out the cat door to come around into the garage to be let into the house...just as you're leaving.
