Food thread-it all started with a.....

Snack and ended up as a casserole!

I love to cook and I like try different things.

One of my favorites is to start out snacking and finish with a meal.

Does anyone else have this problem?
What did you start with and what did you finish with?
Did it become a recipe for you or your family?

I started out with some potatoes and onions in the oven.
One can of mushrooms, milk, sliced ham and some cheese later I am waiting for it to cool off!

Now I don't have to worry about dinner! :confused:

don't laugh, but i made tamale pie. i had a craving for corn muffins, so i pulled out the corn meal, and as i was rummaging around in the fridge to take out the butter to warm to room temp (cold butter=yuck!) i saw the mashed beans and well, a little cheese, salsa and ta-da! dinner.
