Kayleigh has a foot fettish?

Ok, this has been happening for a couple of days now. It started one morning at 3am on a trip to the bathroom. A pile of socks scattered in the hall. Sleepy me thinks "must have been the puppy". Then in the morning Going down the stairs to find another pile of socks and to be told the puppy wasn't loose. Only loose animal was the cat.
Fast forward through the next few days. More sock compilations and one strange cat.
I've caught her in the act of socks stealing twice now. She meows really fast and trans-like when doing this. I hate to say, but it sounds almost like a female cat during mating.
Is she playing mother cat to the socks? Is it a true foot fettish and the socks just turn her on? Is she maybe not spayed? What went on in her lifetime to make her want to carry dirty socks in her mouth? Questions to ponder and ponder I will.
In short, we have a strange cat.

Oh, and the name Kayleigh just stuck better than Tuesday. She still belongs to me more than anybody else in the household though, or I belong to her, whichever viewpoint you choose to see it with.
