Rest in Peace, Perk :(
I wasn't going to post this but I can't get it out of my mind...
One of my best friends, Kim, is putting her Boston Terrier to sleep tomorrow. The dogs name is Perky Sue. She is 13 or 14 years old. She was diagnosed with Canine Alzheimer Disease awhile ago. She has turned aggressive, confused, etc. She doesn't remember anything and she goes to the bathroom all over the house. She doesn't do anything but sleep, and she's almost fully deaf. I think she also has arthritis.
She will be put to sleep at around 5:00 PM Tomorrow. I will be taking my friend out though, to just take her mind off of Perk. She doesn't want to be home for it.
Goodbye, Perk.
Here's a picture of her I took with my phone awhile ago:

As you can tell from the picture she was once a very happy dog. She loved playing soccer and running around. She was a great dog.

I'm sorry about Perky Sue. :( I'm sure you will be a great comfort to your friend through this. Perky Sue will be young and healthy again soon at the Rainbow Bridge.

Poor dog, she must be in such a haze. Will someone from the family be with the dog?

Poor old gal. I hope that her trip to the RB will be a peaceful one. And then she can be Perky Sue, once again.

I'm so sorry to hear about Perky Sue....
She and her family will be in my thoughts.

Yes someone will be with her. Kim's parents..I don't know about her brothers. Kim said awhile back they are cremating her and taking her ashes to our local park where she used to enjoy going for walks. I don't know if these plans are still happening but I hope Perk can find peace wherever she goes. She is a great dog. I always enjoyed visiting her.

Oh, how terribly sad, Alyssa... I can't even imagine. RIP, pretty girl Perk. :(

Perky is gone. :( My friend doesn't want to hang out tonight because she is really sad. I totally understand. I feel so bad. Perk was such a good girl. :(
