Tonight, I was surfing through, and noticed a couple of times where smileys suddenly appeared in the middle of words. I thought it was weird like the posters made a typo or something. Then I noticed it is throughout every thread, and the smileys are somewhat pixelated, too. Is it just my computer that has gone whacky? (I mean I know I'm exhausted, but I don't think I'm dreaming.) ;)
Run a virus scan. If you don't have virus stuff, download AVG Free (Google it). It's made by Grisoft.
