parakeet problem

i got a new parakeet and he won't let me touch or hold him. any sugestions?:(

his name is Bugsy. I'm getting two minnie hamsters named Bonnie and Clyde. He is green and yellow with a navy blue tail.
He sings some times when i go to his cage!:D

You must have patience. I had a Lutino cockatiel named Sunny as a child and had the hardest time taming her. She bit me many times before she would trust me to hold her. I was told by the handler to pick her up intially with a gloved hand and pet her with the other hand to get her used to touch and then gradually remove the glove. I never used the glove I was afraid it would scare her. You might try it if you do not want to get bit. But patience, patience, patience is the key.

i was told to use a blanket or towel.:D

i'm going to start and have sort of started. it's going well.:)
