My friend's bichon, Buddy, was struck and killed by a car today, in Houston.
She was walking him, and Buddy somehow got out of his collar and got ran out into the street, right in front of a car. She saw it all. Needless to say, she is devastated.
I forgot to ask how old he was. She could sure use some prayers to help get through this.

Oh My God how terrible!!!! Lots of prayers going to your friend, what an awful thing to have to witness. I am so very sorry.

Oh no!! This is also my biggest fear in life. Even when I put the girls harnesses on, I cling to them for life. Sometimes, I'm surprised they don't cry out if I'm accidentally pinching them. I am terrified that they will get loose.

What a sweet face. I'm so sorry for your friend, and for Buddy. :( This is one of my greatest fears, especially with fosters and dogs that I transport. I worry about my own, as well.

How devastating. Add me to the list of people who have indicated that htis is their biggest fear. Ginger, too, knows how to slip a lead when she is frightened, and I am always terrified that she will run in front of a car. RIP Buddy, {{{hugs}}} to his family.
