Rest In peace Bliss
My last male betta fish died today. Bliss was a red and silver crown tail betta. After having him for a few months he developed Swim Bladder Disease (which messes up their swim bladder which is what allows them to swim straight with out sinking to the bottom or floating to the top). It isn't painful but after 3 or so months of him having it and not getting better I thought it was permanent. So I officially moved him into the shallowest (is that even a word?) bowl I had which was only 1/2 gallon (bettas should have 1 gallon at least), which allowed him to breathe from the surface easier. But then later on he got better but he loved his shallow bowl so much I didn't have the heart to move him out. Today he seemed mopey but no signs of sickness so I figured he wanted more space to move around. I set up a bigger 2 gallon bowl just like I used to when my old girl, Steele, used to live in it. He was still a little mopey but I just figured he was adjusting to his new home. I checked on him an hour later to find him dead!
I miss Bliss, it hurts because I just lost Riz and I haven't been male-less for almost two years! My room feels empty already :(
Rest In peace Bliss. <3

I am so sorry to hear about Bliss.
The same thing happened to my betta girl Tugboat when I moved her to a bigger tank. She was very mopey and I thought she was just getting used to her new home and then she passed on.
Rest in Peace Bliss. :(

He certainly was a beaut, and its most obvious that you only had the best intentions for him. He was very lucky to have you as a mum! :)
RIP Bliss
