cats eyes!
Sorry for all my questions, but I am trying to learn all I can!
Would it be considered normal for a cats eyes to be open while sleeping?
Also do they have like a third eyelid or something? When my kitten is sleeping his eyes are open but half of them seem to be covered in some white sorta colored thing.

The third eyelid is their nictating membrane. It helps to protect their eye from dryness and damage.
I don't know if it's normal for kitties to sleep with their eyes open. Sometimes mine will sleep with theirs open a tiny slit.
My nieces little baby sleeps with one of her eyes open. So I think anything is possible. :)

I used to have a cat that slept with his eyes partly open.

I THINK THAT IF THIER EYES ARE STILL OPEN THEN THEY ARE RESTING NOT REALLY SLEEPING. THAT MEANS THEY STILL THINK SOME FOOD OR TREATS ARE COMING OUT AND THAT THEY DONT WANT TO MISS ANYTHING!!!!
