Penny puppies

Some of you may remember Penny and I from some time back.

Since I have been visiting here, Penny has completed her AKC CH title, her AKC CD, her UKC CD (with 3 straight High In Trial awards), and has begun her work as a Therapy Dog, participating in a reading program for children at a local library.

Penny was bred in June to BIS BISS CH Carter's Noble Shaka Zulu, and whelped 10 puppies on August 7th, 2007. One tiny bitch puppy was still born, but I have 9 beautiful puppies who were a week old yesterday. 7 boys and 2 girls.

Thay are beautiful. Makes me think of Sheena's pups just a few weeks ago being that small. lol Doesn't last long enough does it? They are gorgeous though.

How old are the puppies when they dock their tails?

These puppies were very strong. They were docked on day 2. My vet did such a super job, I am very happy with the tails.

Check out the weight gains on the chart from day 2 to day 3. You can see they were not stressed because of the good weight gain.

I just love rotties. They are such a wonderful breed. Gorgeous puppies. I surely hope you can keep posting as they grow.
