Sparks

My beautiful boy, Sparks has gone. After returning home to Israel after several years he was cruelly poisoned. I found his body close to the house and he looked like he suffered

He was my best friend for 10 years, he travelled the world with me - all over the world. But the bitter irony of his return home only a few weeks ago.

He was loveable yet neurotic. Funny and excellent natured. A real Egyptian-style prince. Beautiful, elegant, black.

I sometimes thought about this day with dread. It has come and taken away my little friend.

I want to post a photo of him but it doesn't seem possible.

How sad, it's bad enough losing them from natural causes or illness.

I got up at sunrise yesterday and took his body to be buried near my house. It was horrific as he died through poision and was obviously in terrible pain. The heat had already started to dcompose his beautiful body. I couldn't face work so didn't go.

My best friend has gone.

I spent the day sobbing and reading other loss stories from various sites (not sure if that was a good thing to do). I have started a powerpoint presentation that will record his life through text and pictures.

I am so sorry that you have lost your precious Sparks in such terrible circumstances. I think it is a wonderful idea to get all your photos together into a presentation about his life. The ones you are posted are beautiful.

I'm still stunned and horrified by this...the image of him was terrible.
I can't believe he is not around anymore.

I can only imagine how badly you feel just now, and I am sure it will take time to come to terms with this.
Please hang on to the fact that Sparks had a great life with you, travelling the world and having fun.

Sparks is such a handsome fella in those photos. And he had great care travelling with you. Please think of the happy times and the wonder of having a cat, and let that help you through this difficult time. RIP Sparks. have loads of fun at the Rainbow Bridge.

Thank you all, again. It's good to feel the support. It's hard working with people when this mourning is taking place. How does one explain to those who simply see these friends as "cats", "animals"?

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Sparks. He was a beautiful boy. It is so very hard to lose one. I lost my boy of sixteen and a half years in March due to the pet food recall. I once read that when your heart is hurting, filling it with happy memories can help you find your smile. I hope that as time passes the happy memories you have of your "Prince" will help you to once again smile.
