A ridiculous amount of pictures....*cuteness warning*

So brace yourself - there will be a lot of pictures in this thread!

I haven't posted in a while because last Wednesday, 21 foster kitties arrived at my house, along with our new kitten Cheddar, who we are so happy to have after waiting a while for him! He's awesome. The 21 kitties promptly took over the house - so I was a bit busy! They are all gone now, except 2.

Shortly after they arrived here, one of the kitties, Paintball, passed away. The vet said that he thought it was something congenital, and that the stress of the transport on her little body probably caused the congenital defect to act up. She never showed any symptoms - just died. It was heartbreaking. I have the 2 other kitties from her litter here still, and I'm watching them like a hawk to make sure they're ok, and they seem to be just fine. I'm just keeping them here for a week or so as a precaution, and to allow them to get a bit bigger - they're TINY right now. So, without further adieu, here are the pics.

Your two dogs are so good with the kittens, they both really seem to have a strong maternal instinct.

What great pics!!! I love the fact that the pups are so good with them! Those tiny ones really look like they need to stay with you for awhile just to be on the safe side. Poor Paintball... that was the dilute tortie, right?? Poor little things have no idea what is going on and stress is just too much sometimes on their little bodies.

Glad Cheddar has joined the family! Yay!! What a handsome guy he is!! He looks bigger than Linea... is he? Max is turning into one handsome little dude!

VermontCat, Lucy especially is very maternal with them, especially the babies. When they are out roaming around, she keeps them very close to her and licks them incessantly, it's really cute :)

I feel so awful that he passed away. I don't think there is anything that I could have done to prevent it, but it still really upsets me that it happened "on my watch". We buried him in the back yard with a little rock garden about him, right next to where we buried Commodus when he died. I figured they can keep each other company at the bridge.

I'm definitely keeping the babies here until I'm 110% sure that they're good to go. They're acting totally fine - playing, eating like pigs, fighting with each other....but just to be safe, I want them to gain some weight and show me that they're healthy.

Cheddar is a lot bigger than Linea - he's a big boy!!! He's about 12-13 weeks old now, and he's just HUGE! He's really long and has lanky legs. We love him to pieces and he's fitting right in here.

I really enjoyed the pictures! I just love to see cats and dogs together. Yours all seem to get along so well.
