I Am So Mad!!!!!!

As you all know, I just went and got a new hen to add to my flock. I drove over 4 hours to bring her home, and the main purpose of this was so that I would have a Mate for my lonely roo, Sunny.

Well The worst thing has happened! Duke got Lose, and killed Sunny!! My poor boy was only 8 weeks old! He was the first bird to hatch out in the incubator, and he was just darling!

I am just Devastated! I cannot believe he is gone! and I cannot get over the fact that Duke has killed one of my Birds!! WTH!!! I am beyond mad right Now!!http://www.e-equestrian.com/images/s.../angryfire.gif

Oh no! Poor Sunny, you must be so devistated! I would be mad too. Bad Duke, your food is in the house!

Aw, now your new hen doesn't have a roo friend:( I"m so sorry for you loss, it was so sudden. We can hope that Sunny is resting in peace at the rainbow bridge.

Its not that i am Mad at Duke, I understand he is just being a dog. I am more mad at Myself for it happening at all.

I knew how excited you were to finally have gotten Sunny a "girl".
I wish dogs didn't have the prey drive they normally do.

OMG! Maggie I am so sorry! :( He was so pretty! I hope you can find another roo to breed the hen to.

I am really sorry about Sunny. I just lost one of my muscovy ducks--a raccoon killed her during the night and she was my favorite one; she was so special. It hurts so much, but maybe Sunny & my muscovy Troy have met each other by now and they can both be friends ;)

Is Duke your bloodhound mix?? I couldn't remember....I use to have a BH and she killed one of my other muscovy ducks. It happened last year. I had to give my BH, Annabelle, to my mom's good friend, because she kept trying to get in the pen with the other ducks and I didn't want it to happen to another duck...
