I awoke this morning, full of fear
Sleep interrupted, the end is near!
I tossed and turned, side to side-
That scary thought runs thru my mind
The pressure mounting in my chest!
Another trouble, like the rest
As time goes by, close to the end
Against the worry I’ve had to fend
That constant thought, inside my head
I feel the pressure, while I’m in bed!-
In troubled sleep, it comes and goes
When will it happen? One never knows
I open my eyes and come to find
I’m staring at a cat’s behind!
A fluffy arse stuck in my face
The bed is huge, a queen sized space
With all that area my cat’s resigned
To give me a look of his white behind
It’s either his face or rump with tail
it show up constantly without fail!
The rear is worst, from that I steer
But said and done? The end is near!
So take my advice - hide your face!
While you rest in your sleep space
Because while you drowse the cat will steer
Toward your head, his end too near!
