Yep, today I'm gonna finally do it!! With all these rescue stories going on.....I want to be a more active part of it. YES! I am mailing out my application to become a foster home for Leonberger Rescue. Yes, you heard me right.....those are those HUGE (up to 170lbs. for some males) bear-like cuddle bunnies:

Great news, Sue! Leonbergers are so cute! My uncle's friend has one and she is the cuddliest and most friendly dog!
Souraya, I can't wait to foster one!! I wonder if I would be able to give it up?? We'll have towait and see. Do you know where your uncle's friend got his from??
Mike, you guys will be the first to know!! I sure hope they find me one quick. They are a rare breed and I really can't see why anyone would give one up anyways!:rolleyes:
They got her from a breeder in Quebec, I think.

I too have been thinking more and more about fostering. I haven't talked to ralph about it yet, but maybe once we get back from Florida, we can at least look into the deatial of it.

Congratulations Sue!!!! Oh, what a lucky dog that will be, the one who wiggles his way into your home and heart!!:) And with a Leonberger, you sure will have a lot of doggie to love!! Star and Cody are doing a great big happy dance in your honor!! Yay, Sue!!!!

Sue! I am thrilled that you are going to do this. I have a floor full of dogs, right beside me, two of them are not "mine"!!!! LOL!!! I am enjoying this, so far. I know that since Splash is my first "real" foster, not just one I am keeping temporarally, it will be harder to let her go. But I plan to enjoy every minute of having her here, and work my hardest to get her trained and ready to make a good pet for someone, someday. :)
