And I am willing to bet that a lot of the smaller stores either do not know or care if the foods are bad or not.
I have been in a few of those stores where the meats gone bad , and they wont remove it. That Pet Food stays until it sells and noone will go in and force them to remove it.
And those places will have a lot of bad Pet Food just waiting for someone in a hurry to buy it.
... for someone in a hurry to buy it, or someone who doesn't really give a damn about their pets but just regards them as nuisances that are lucky to get fed and sheltered (as such) at all to buy it..
Sigh... I hate so many people...

The last paragraph makes me say Hmmmm...
"Representatives from Menu Foods will not appear before lawmakers." They were invited to testify at the Senate Appropriations Committee hearing scheduled for this Thursday but "instead asked to be represented by the Pet Food Institute, an industry group."
