Subject: RE: our 2, male, spayed Burmese cats
Due to my husband's ill health, cancer and heart issues, we have to move to Mexico to receive the treatments which we cannot afford in the US. Mocha and Java, born, July 16, 1997, are our loves, however, the airline state the cats cannot travel with us due to the "heat" in the cargo hold. We are unable to drive to Guadalajara Mexico. We have to fly. We are very concerned about adoption of the "babies". Where do we go? Do we
call particular associations or societies re the very best way to check out the adoption process of our little chocolate guys? We are scheduled to leave Payson, AZ on August 16, 2002.
HELP! Please! I do not know where to seek help?
Sincerely,
Sharon & Wayne
PS
They are inseparable.

Sharon,
Here's a link to a Burmese Rescue Organization that might be able to help you. When you talk to them, make sure you tell them that the cats need to be placed in a home together.

Good luck and please keep us posted.

Here's a couple no-kill shelters in Phoenix. You might give them a call and maybe they can direct you to something in your area.
