RIP, Jorge Jaguar
Many condolences will be extended over this tragedy, and they will all be directed toward the young Denver zookeeper who lost her life.
I just wanted to offer (maybe the only) tribute to poor Jorge. This magnificent jaguar was only acting upon instinct to protect his territory. Could it be that the zookeeper was suicidal? I mention this because from all accounts, she was well trained and had worked for a year or so at the zoo.
Jorge, I am saddened that your life was cut short due to such unfortunate circumstances. :( May you rest in peace and be healthy and stealthy once again at RB. Godspeed.

It was all over the late night news last night. I could help but cry when I saw a picture of him. It's so unfair.
RIP Jorge. :(

What happens to an animal in a zoo is human responsibility. It is the responsibility of humans to make sure no human is harmed and no animal in consequence.
RIP Jorge.
