There was a recent puppymill bust close to where I live. I was searching petfinder(my worst habbit) and saw these guys! Who says purebred puppies don't end up in shelters?
Dachshund puppies!
Peke puppies!
Nearly every other dog at this shelter is purebred. I've actually fostered a dog from this shelter before. It just shows that purebred dogs make their way to shelters quite often! :(
AW. They are so sweet, haha I'd take in all of them if I could. Poor puppies..
Have they contacted the breed rescue???
Last time I was at the shelter there was the most enchanting purebred rough collie... *swoon*
If those dachshund pups were anywhere near here, I have a friend who has been looooooonging for one ...
That shelter has an absolutely gorgeous, purebred-looking golden retriever, too! Oooh, looking at shelter dogs... :(

I'm not sure. This shelter usually does really well with rescues and getting dogs placed. It's a no-kill shelter if I remember right.Quote:
