come see this kitty
shes been listed several times. Even for today. But her euthanisia date was 10/28
I'm confused. If she's being listed for today, does that mean she's still alive?
I want to go see her.

she's no longer listed on petfinder. Why would she still be listed on craigslist a month after her K date?

I think its horrible they even PUT the date on the listing...seems kind of morbid to me. I mean I know kill shelters are an evil not likely to go away anytime soon but really...
Poor kitties. I wish I could save them all. Good thing the shelters in Reno and Carson are no kill.

I know, every time I see the pics of them with dates I want tocry. Just thinking that this time tomorow they won't be here anymore :(

If you look on my Irving ad:
http://dallas.craigslist.org/pet/243237742.html
At the top it says "Euthanasia dates are listed. Sometimes animals are held beyond the euthanasia date, but they are on borrowed time!"
Basically the shelter is holding Emma past her euth date only because they have room, but I've heard from an Irving shelter volunteer that Emma's time is very close to being up and they may start euthanizing even though they have room. She and Nell will be first on the euthanasia list.
Emma is a beautiful cat, and very sweet, although she's very tired of being in the cage and they say she's gotten a little quiet and depressed. They say she's much better once you take her out of the cage and should be a fine, loving companion once she's out of that horrible place. She's been there for awhile only because they had a god-awful picture of her on Petfinder (still up unfortunately) and no one was interested because the picture was so bad. We've just now managed to get them to take some decent pictures of her, but they haven't yet updated Petfinder. She's really a pretty kitty -- wonderful eyes!
Evidently she is allergic to fleas and had some back in early November when she first came in, and as a result had some fur loss. This of course didn't help her adoptability. She's since seen a vet, her fur has mostly if not all the way grown back (as you can see from the photos), and she is now healthy. She is a great kitty and so gorgeous, and definitely deserves a second chance at life.
Let me know if you have any other questions. You would truly be saving a life if you could adopt her -- she's definitely on borrowed time.

well....it seems this is a sign, she is still alive so why not go visit with her and if you are interested fill out an application. She is beautiful and you would be saving her from certain death. I would atleast visit with her. She might be exactly what you are looking for. If she isn't what you are looking try getting in touch with a rescue to see if you can get her pulled and save her either way.

When I saw that face, and realized that soon she would no longer be here, through no fault of her own, I became so sad.
A perfectly Healthy Cat has to be PTS because someone just didnt care.
That person will one day answer to St Francis with that Cat as a witness.
