Sad news on found kitty.
When I got home from work today, kitty wasn't looking too well, so I called around all the vets in my area and luckily was able to find one that gave me an appointment for 5:10.
It was confirmed kitty was a boy and one very sick kitten. His rectum was very sore and swollen and he was incontinent. He opening was quite large. That's why I kept finding little poopies on the floor. I brought stool samples from late last night, this morning and this afternoon. None showed any worms. Then came the bad news. :( The vet suspected FIP because his belly was so round and felt like it was full of fluid. I'm sorry people, but as soon as he said that, that did it for me. He said he could do all the tests that were necessary and that I would have to keep him quarantined until the results. He said if it were him, he would have him PTS. I'm sorry, but I just couldn't take that risk on keeping him with my boys, Sweetpea and PeaPod. I pray that you all understand this. I stayed with him til the end all the while telling him how sorry I was, that I did love him and that he will be going to a better place now.
Even though I just had him since yesterday, it broke my heart to have to do this. But I am trying to console myself by telling myself that at least he didn't die cold and all alone on the street.
R.I.P little one.

You did the right thing, and you are right - he at least got to know love, and care, and a comfortable place to stay in his last day on earth, and will surely be amongst the crowd to greeet you some day, at the Rainbow Bridge.
-
You ABSOLUTELY did the RIGHT thing! Thank you for giving him a loving exit! I'm just sorry you had to go through this, Lorraine!
Rest in peace, little guy! :(
Hugs,
Kim

{{{{HUGS}}}} to you. A loving goodbye, far better than he would have had on the street - or with that idiot with the plastic bag.
Beautiful little boy, RIP.
HUGS again. I hope your little Pea Pod gives you some giggles to cheer you up.

You did the right thing and the kitty knew he was loved. *HUGS*

Thats so sad that that Poor Cat was so ill.
But before he went to the Rainbow Bridge, he was lucky enough to find a Meowmie of his very own.His Spirit will visit and feel welcome in his Furr Ever Home.
Now he has someone who loved him, and he will have someone to wait for at the Rainbow Bridge.
One Fine Day.

Thank GOD for you Lorraine for saving him from longer (much longer)days of unreal pain in the streets.
Be happy you saved him from THAT.I'm so happy to hear this story because you saved him from a HORRIFIC long lonely painful death. And putting him down humanely was what he needed to rest without any more pain.I'm sure he's one of your angels now looking over you.
I hope his siblings on the streets aren't in pain too :(
Thanks Again Lorraine for helping him end peacefully.

I'm so sorry, Lorraine. What a sad thing to happen. Sometimes the only thing you can do for them is let them go. :( It was better for him this way than alone on the streets.
Rest in peace little baby.
