Rest in Peace Hooker
Ok lets see if I can do this without crying my eyes out, My husbands Dog that he loved with all his heart had to be put down last friday, she was only 5 years old and when we found her she was bleeding from her rectum, not a good sign the vet said, so he opted to have her put down, god it was so sad this man loved his dog like a child just as I loved my cat who I had to put down just 6 weeks before this, we used to watch them both drink milk together from a bowl.
Its all crazy now you go to the backyard and shes not there, we avoid it now the pain is still just to great to deal with, I wish our pets could live forever or adleast as long as we do so we dont have to ever feel this pain or be without them.
Thank you for allowing me this post and this site
Hugs

I know that pain oh so well. I just had to have Duke put to sleep this past Sunday. He had lung cancer. I'm so sorry and there's nothing that will make you feel better but time. I know how strong that love can be. Take comfort that they are in no more pain and we will see them again.

I have such a hard time while reading Memorial Threads.
We come here for comfort while struggling to heal , and I for one know that our loss needs to be aknowledged and remembered.
So, that is why I read the pain I suppose, and that is why I light a Candle in Honor of Our Beloved Pets who have Crossed Our Path and Gave Us their gift.
They never really leave us , so long as we hold onto that "gift" and keep their "likeness" in our Hearts~
