Easter Egg Hunt

This is not the proper time of year to post this Easter Egg Hunt game, and I apologize if it was talked about in a previous thread. It just came to mind and maybe could be modified for Halloween as the trick or treat game, if you are the resourceful type!

When my dogs were alive we used to put really smelly treat pieces (snausages, I seem to recall) in those plastic Easter eggs and hide them around the yard. Shasta was really proficient at finding them and caught on quickly, sometimes mouthing the egg and cracking it before we had a chance to go over and split it at the seam for her to get the treat. So, if you try it, be prepared to toss out a few cracked eggs if your dog is especially enthusiastic. We re-used them (the ones that didn't break) year after year, and Shasta & Sadie has a blast! :D
