It is a spider that has taken residence in one particular spot. He/she has been there for around 6 weeks now. When it rains hard or a lot it takes shelter under one of the leaves of the bush where it's web is anchored on the left hand side. I've become quite fond of it. :)

Looks like a female orb weaver of sorts. Males are skinny. I'll send you the ones from our house if you like, lol.
Neat! I love sharing my yard with any kind of wildlife... spiders are one of my favorite(as long as the wild guys stay outside, everything is fine)!
