The newest "BRATS"
I'm going to try to post happy things in this thread and catch you up on how I ended up with three new baby monsters.
Chester and Frankie came into the shelter when they were about 2 weeks old. All of our foster homes were full and these guys needed bottle feeding. Everybody at that point had bottle babies so it was my turn! I swore I wasn't keeping them, but after days of every two hour feedings, tons of laundry, medicating for runny poo and URI, and about all the love I could handle my sleep deprived heart couldn't let them go.
This is Chester shortly after they arrived.

Heres Frankie

It soon became clear that Chester was going to be a pain in the tookus! Frankie is very loving and fun but Chester whines about everything! He is into anything and everything and must have his way no matter what.
They both became a part of the "pack" easily and were readily accepted.
Chester makes himself fit in anywhere.

I soon realized what was up with Chester and scared hubby to death when I said.....he's going to be just like Leroy!!!

Here are Chester and Frankie today at about four months old.

I swore that was the end of my fostering....NO MATTER WHAT! Yeah right. I was the only one at the shelter one day when a guy knocks on the door. He has a little kitten that he found in his yard and doesn't know what to do with it. I have two choices, take it or send him to the animal control facility where it will be euthanized because it is too young to eat on its own. There really was no choice was there?
I thought that this would be no big deal. This little guy was about four weeks old and I could get him on food in no time so I wouldn't get attached and he would only stay with me for a few days. HAH!!!! This little pint sized terror stole my heart instantly! He is totally fearless and doesn't care how big the cats are cause he's gonna bite and wrestle em'! I have to say that he brought in a huge bright spot during all the sadness we have experienced lately. Even though I didn't want anymore I have to wonder if God didn't send him to put smiles on our faces during all this death. He sure can make you laugh at the darkest times.
Here is Tubby ( we call him TubTub)

Saturday morning brat fix!! :D What a treat to see this thread!!!
Those bottle babies are so cute and yes, I believe you have a mini Leroy there with Chester. Oh the stories that are to come..... Brother Frankie is a doll.
That bottle baby Tubby! What a cute face he has. I am glad the timing worked out to provide a kitten to make you smile right now. Do you have any pictures of that bitey-boy chomping on your nose?? :p

On the positive, those little kittens are too cute and very lucky to have a home with you. I hope this is the start of better days.

The one with Leroy and his little friend is so funny.

If there's one thing the "Goo" man knows how to do, it's chill.

I absolutely LOVE this picture!! BTW Lisa, I was at Catales yesterday schmoozing with over 80 different cats, when this blind kitty (both eyelids sewn shut like Magoo) came over to the loveseat, plopped his butt down in my lap, and grabbed my hand with his paw as if to say, "Okay, you may now begin the kitty massage." If I didn't already have too many cats, I'd have definitely taken him home. What an absolute lovebug he is.
And Chester, boy does he ever look up to his Uncle Roy.

The Brats are Back!
Lisa, it's SO good to see you posting Saturday morning Brats again. Little Chester does indeed look like a Leroy Mini-Me. I bet those two keep you hopping and laughing in your house. To see another cat named Tubby on PT gave me LES; he's SO cute and I'm sure his namesake is smiling down on him from the Bridge! How could you not fall in love with that face?
Frankie's claws! Yipes! Those look LETHAL but Uncle Magoo looks like nothing is phasing him - life is good.
The Big Dude upstairs knows what he's doing sending you these sweeties in your time of need.

All 3 of your newbies sure are adorable.:) I'm glad that they're providing you with some happiness that you need while you continue to heal from your recent losses. It's great to see some of the other brats again too and I hope that you'll be able to continue to post here.:)

Oh gosh, Chester & Frankie are so adorable. Well what kitty isn't, right.
I can clearly see why you have those scratches on your hand. My goodness look at the claws on Frankie. Time to get those clippers out Lisa. :)
Look how stunning those two are now. What a lovely pair.
Widdle Tubby is too cute. :)
MMMMMMMAAAAAAGGGGGGOOOOOOO!!!!! Oh how I've missed seeing you sweetie. I see that you are still living the life of Rielly with that pose of yours. Too darn cute. Love you my dear. :D
Gosh it is so darn good to hear from you again Lisa and I pray that all the pain that you have had to endure is slowly healing.
