Story on CNN this morning. I think the biggest crime is that this act
is treated only as a misdemeanor & not a felony offence.

Just a slap on the wrist. That stupid jerk should go to prison for awhile and have the other inmates kick him around and see how it feels. A$$hole.
If you know anyone from New York, you ask them to join in with other
states to make this kind of cruelty a felony offense.Treating things like
this with a slap on the wrist is a cruel joke.An RO doesn't protect a woman
and her children from further abuse, why would one for a dog solve the
problem or show the abuser the error of his ways? New York needs to get
serious about animal cruelty.
The New York Legislature can't pass a budget on time, never mind other legislation.
A quote from 1776 describes the NYS legislature perfectly:
"The problem with the NY assembly is that everyone talks very loud, and everyone talks very fast, and as a result no one knows what anyone else is saying, and nothing gets done"
I LOVE that movie/play...Quote:

I wish it was mandatory for any politician to visit and animal shelter and observe what idiots they have for constituents.
