I clicked onto the link, but, page cannot be found!!!!!
 That looks so strange, like a mix with a dog and a goat.. lol
I can't believe those idiots at the ACO's and Wildlife offices were "too busy" to go and pick up a carcass. It could very well hold answers to some mysteries that have gone unexplained for years. This is a real learning experience they're passing up.
Think about it!!
To me.. it honestly just looks like a normal dog. :/
Maybe I'm not looking close enough?
sometimes the internet is like that National Enquirer Newspaper!!!!
Who knows, maybe it is "The Goat Killer" from the movie, American Grafitti.
Just my thoughts at the moment....My husband is too busy for a comment!!!
But, looking at that animal made me feel so sad.
It made me sad also. :( I didn't think he was so ugly did you?Quote:

I think it looks like a dog too. I too was sad to see a dead animal. Even if it did kill, it wasn't "evil." It was just trying to stay alive.
But what kind of dog. it is definately a dog of some sort but what kind of mix. Like wolf/coyote or something lol. It's face is what throws me off. The body looks normal but that face is wierd. It DOES look like a goats face
Moosmom I agree. They made a big deal about that polar/grizzly bear lol Why not this? this is definately something a little unusual.
Never discount ignorance.
It is sad that they did not make an effort to examine the carcass, espcially as it was there long enough for photographers to come ...
Maybe a chow-chow/pitbull mix? It's hard to tell how big it was.
Rest in peace, black beastie.
Looks like a dog to me too.... Maybe they didn't capture it good with the camera or something???

I was curious about this and looked at the pictures too and it just looks like a run of the mill mixed-breed dog to me. I've worked in a shelter and have seem some pretty strange mixes in my day, so this didn't seem odd to me at all. There are a lot of snub-nosed breeds of dogs, and mixed with something like a chow or some other equally thick-furred breed of dog could very well make a mix like this. Poor thing.
If it was such a mystery, these people should have been a little more quick on the up-take and made an effort to collect the body and examine it.
RIP beastie.
Remember good ol' Sam?

This face is pretty frightening, and he may not have looked like a typical dog, but he was...same thing with beastie. :o
