NASA reported that 700 boxes of space stuff, including the original recording of Armstrong's first step on the moon are lost....
They have stated, "we do have a copy of it, in one form or another....."

Yeah sure, I have lots of boxes that "got" lost too; they just are on the attic, forgotten for ever ;) :D

Not surprising, consider that this is the ageny that didn't have the foresight to stock adequate spares for the shuttle (Buying parts off of Ebay is NOT a good business practice for space travel), and left the skylab mockup to rot. They also seem to have difficulty getting their vendors to use the same measurement units when writing software. :rolleyes:
Makes you wonder how they ever managed to find the moon, eh? :eek: (or did they?) ;)

NASA at least has figured out SOMETHING.....
Why re-engineer a heavy lift booster? We had the best one in the world, but we junked it, along with the tooling. Glad to see they're updating the Saturn-V, and not spending billions to design something that already existed.
