Thank PA governor for cracking down on puppy mills!

Ed Rendell is an animal lover, particularly dogs. I've always liked the guy alot, but now I like him even more.

I'm so happy to know that our Governor is taking steps to curb this inhumane industry. Puppy mills for profit are despicible! I signed the petition.

Its about time! I can't tell you how many of my dogs (as in my students :p) are from puppy mills and their parents had NO idea. They all say the same thing "oh, he came from a beautiful Mennonite farm" and I KNOW right then and there that he came from a puppy mill. I tactfully inform them about puppy mills, encourage them to go home and do a quick internet search. They all come back to the next class really upset and swear they had no idea they bought a dog from a puppy mill, but it is true, they DID buy a dog from a puppy mill. We are only a half hour drive from the "famous" Pennsylvania puppy mills here.

Gotta love Ed Rendell. :) (yes I am a Philly girl.)
