The Flood!!!
I don't know if any one here saw, but Lake county Ohio was hit HARD by rain last week. We got 10-8 inches in less that 24 hours.
Some people had to be rescued from the 2nd story of their houses because the water came so quickly and the Grand River's water level rose so quickly.
I had some flooding, only 3-4 inches in my basement some people I know had 3-5 FEET of water!! The reason for my flooding was becuase my sub pump couldn't keep up with the water comming in... any way... on to the pictures!
This was Thursday at about 5:00pm, puddles were just starting to form in places that puddles don't normally form!!!

Sierra thinks we should head to higher ground!

I spent from 1am-5am Friday trying to keep the basement from flooding, but it didn't work.

WOW!!!!!!! :D
I did notice the precipitation for your area last week while on weather.com. We didn't get a drop of that rain were I'm located, but, my sister ,south of us did , but, wow, not that much.!!! I got tired out just looking at all that water as I've had this happen in our basement as well.
Sorry for your mis-fortunate flood , but, I did get to see some remarkable pictures from all the rain that I read about!!!
And, of course, I always like to see pictures of Buddy and Sierra!!!! Their investigation of this clamity must have been such a buffer for you. Just look at em go!!!!!!! Terrific pictures and thank-you for sharing them.
Keep us up dated on your progress!!!!

Wow...
( looks like the pups enjoyed it, anyways.... )

Wow, what a awful mess. :( Our local TV news had footage of the
flooding in the Cleveland area. I did think of you guys.Anywhere from
9 to 11 inches per hour is unreal. I hope things clear up soon. I'm glad
the pups took it all in stride. :)

 wow  !
good thing you have a boat! You might have needed it!
Glad you are safe. Hope your house dries quickly!
-
Wow, what a mess! I'm glad the pups enjoyed it though! :p You should send some of that rain our way, but not until next week (my brothers wedding reception is outside on Saturday), we haven't had rain *that amounted to anything over 20 drops* since June 5th!!
-
Hey No Fair! Your hogging the rain!! We are supposed to be the rainy state! :p But the dogs seemed to love it! Doesn't look like a fun clean up, but the dogs look like they enjoy their indoor pool.
-
Sorry it hit you guys so hard. We didn't get hardly anything here in Northwest, Ohio. Hope you dry up soon.
-
Oh Angie, so sorry about the mess, although your pups don't seem to mind. When I heard about the Grand River and flooding, I didn't even put two and two together and think of you. :o I know all about bailing water but we have yet to have a flooded basement. I hope you get dried out soon. :)

WOW! that's a lot of water! it looks like the pups are really liking it! i bet they got all muddy!LOL good luck drying out!
-
WOW! Angie, I had no idea! I am sitting here praying that we get the rain that they are predicting to break this heat wave, but I don't want that much! I hope you are able to get your basement dried. That has to be soooo scary! I'm glad that Buddy and Sierra took it all in stride. :p It was nice seeing them, even though the circumstances could have been better.
