Giving your cat a bath..

Does anyone here give your cat a bath? I thought it might make Jenna's coat look shinier. Thanks!

Oh..what kind of brush do you use on your cat?

I don't bathe my kitties, I do brush with the shedding tool and have 2 that will come running when they see it and love to be brushed.

Chuck just had a bath last night! LOL

I bathe him to loosen up all the loose hair because it's so long.

I have just a regular brush with kinda long "teeth" to get all the snarls out.

I give my 2 cats baths. MooShoo (hairless) requires a bath a week during the summer and every 2-3 weeks in the winter.

Don't laugh, but this is what I do:

Fill the tub just enough to cover the botton with warm water. Hop in tub with cat facing away from me standing on a towel (so he feels secure). Use cup to wet cat down. Lather, rinse, repeat as necesary. I use Blue (and BLUE only!) Dawn, as it has the same Ph that a cat does.

Once dry (takes all of 5 seconds) I give MooShoo treats so he recognizes it as a pleasant thing.

I do the same thing with Mollie Rose (My oldest, 12- Tortie). The key is to work FAST. They're out and dry before they even realize they're submerged! :p

as you can see..no one is holding her down, as she just stands nicely in the water till I am done giving her a bath :)

There is absolutely NO WAY I can give my cat a bath...The last we tried she bit and scratched us! LOL shes my little brat.

Me too Abby&Buddy'smom. Those pictures of Abby wet in the bath tub are priceless!!! Is that why her fur is always so pretty?
