Half of my tanks have gravel and half of them don't. The ones without gravel seem to keep a bit cleaner longer.
All of my tanks are gravel free.
Yep, its's totally fine. A few of my tanks have sand and the rest don't.. no difference what-so-ever.
Doing reserch in the pass, their is bacateria that lives in the gravel, that help eat the waste fish make. But it's fine, I like gravel because it brings a decoration too.
The bacteria is only useful for a cycle.. but unless your tank is 5-10 gallons or more (10 gallons or more preferred), it's useless trying to get a cycle. For anything smaller than a 10 gallon, very little could cause the cycle to crash and make it an unstable environment for the betta. :)Quote:
