My parents are considering adopting a dog. They are open for an adult dog, preferably a local one. I know there is a website that's been mentioned here often that has many adoptable fur-kids, but I am drawing a BLANK on it's name/URL. Can someone else here help me out?

{I just wrote a HUGE discription of our move and the kit-kid's reaction to it and the computer and/or the internet ate it. Bah, humbug!!!}
There must be local shelters, and I would go there first as you can actually see the Dog, and see how he/she reacts to you, and you get a chance to socialize with your new family member.
