My calf is at the farm!-update, PICS!!!
She's finally here! I haven't met her yet but I'm going either today or tomarrow. I live is a suburb where no one's heard of 4-H, and the only farm in our county is a park district owned historic farm so I have to go and take care of her and the others every day/ few days. There are going to be 4 others there that we'll all pitch in and care for. One person is buying a show quality one from somewhere else and she's not there yet. We just got registered ones, good show quality would be way out of our price ranges. The farmer who is doing this is REALLY helping us. Because of diseases, the calves he sells us have to live separatley from his main herd. We have a deal that we buy them now, and sell them back at the end of the summer. They live at his farm and hopefully get pregnant so we can take them back to live at the 4-H farm next summer too. She is a fall born Holstien heiffer. Here's the email I got:

Olivia's is the little one
Haley's is the spotted one
Eva's has a white triangle on her head.
Also please bring a check for $725 made out to Julie Tracy please. When we return the calves we'll get $700 back the 25 is for the registration paperwork.
I was hoping for one with about equal white and black and mine sounds like she's almost all black, but I bet I'll love her just the same, it doesn't matter what they look like anyway, does it.
I'll update with pics in a day or two.
Also, I'm just going to call her whatever her registered name is, because they are usually like "[farmer's name]'s Daisy" or a human name.

I am pretty sure her name is Nuria because she's shy and I thought she deserved a nicer 'human' name. Her paperwork is still processing so if I wanted to just call her by her registered name she would be nameless for several weeks.
