Bella has bone cancer
Sweet Bella has bone cancer.
Awful news.
:( :( :(
It started as a limp but when my boss got her checked out, the cause was clear. She took her to the University Vet Oncology department today. They are waiting for other test results to see if she is a good candidate for amputation. (checking if they see methastasis) If not, she may be put down tomorrow. The vets think she is in a great deal of pain. The cancer has eaten away 85% of her bone.
I love her so much. She is like my dog too.

Prayers that Bella is no longer in pain very soon, whichever way it has to go. Prayers of strength for her mommie. So very sad.

Awwww!! I'm so sorry to hear this news Carmen. How devastating for all of you. Is this the doggie that has been Beenie's playmate for awhile? Prayers are going our for a miracle cure. (((HUGS All Around))) :(

Oh, dear sweet Bella, I hope they can make the hurts go away!
-
Thank you.
Yes, Bella and Jax come to work every day and they are Beenies buddies.
I've posted several times about all of them together.
I'll be taking Jax home with me later and hope for the best.
Here is Bella with Beenie and Frankie.
Frankie and Bella were almost kissing.

Oh Carmen, I am so sorry to hear that. I remember hearing about Bella and Jax and what good friends they are with Beenie. I hope they get some good news.
-
So sad. :( I hope the Vets can offer some hope for Bella.

Such devastating news. My first foster had osteosarcoma. Things happened so quickly.
My heart goes out to Bella.

if there is metastasis
and the lungs are the usual site, then a Chemo protocol using Doxorubicin for the maximum 5 treatments will give the dog a median time of 1 yr survival. For most of this period one would expect a remission, and a high quality of life for the dog. Cisplatin can be used in conjunction with Doxorubicin for a slightly longer survival time, but Cisplatin tends to be a nasty drug per nausea. The side effects of Doxorubicin are easily controlled with Metoclopromide.

I'm very sorry to hear this. :( poor baby. :(

Thank you for your support guys.
I have bad news.
Bella will not have the surgery because her chances of survival afterward are very slim. She will be put down soon. I don't know when. :'''(
