My old timers..2 pics

Just playing around with the camera this afternoon and took some pics of my two oldest dogs..

My sweet Sleet. She's 12 now, I think, and showing her age. She's still generally healthy, but slowing down a lot.

And my precious Preacher. He's had a rough week. I actually thought we were loosing him. He was sick for three days--lethargic, diaherra, throwing up. Preacher's always lazy so when he seems lethargic something is seriously wrong! A few doses of kaopectate and some Metrodizonale seem to have done the trick again though and he's back on his feet for now. He's ancient and in poor health at the best of times. I don't expect Preacher will be with us in this life for much longer. We are on bonus time now, but Stuart says he's so stubborn he'll live another five years just to prove he can!

They both look wonderful for their age. It must be the cold weather up there that helps slow down the aging process (or at least appearence). :) The first post I ever made in Dog General was in reference to one of your posts about Sleet, I just couldn't believe she was that old. She looks wonderful. Hugs to both Sleet and Preacher.

They are still beautiful, and, Preacher looks bear-like in that photo. He just **looks** stubborn. ;)

I don't know his exact age. If I went by what the shelter was told he should only be 9, but my vet says that's impossible. My vet figures he's at least 13.

Beautiful dogs, they don't even look their age either! :)

Such sweet faces! I hope ol'Preacher does live another 5 years just to prove he can!
