Petsmart job

Hi everyone...

I started at Petsmart as a Senior pet care specialist and today I got to spend from 9:00am til 1:00pm in the play rooms! My favorite was the big dog room where the bigger, more aggressive dogs play. I got to play with Tuscon, the 180lb Great Dane, and Solomon, the 150lb Rottie. Tuscon came over to give me a kiss, and I think his mouth was big enough to cover my entire face. :D

Peej and Bailey get to go to work with me and spend the day in doggie day camp on Friday. I hope they behave themselves around that many new dogs!

Anyway, what have the rest of you been up to? :)

CONGRATULATIONS! I can imagine that has got to be one of the best jobs. EVAR. :D Do share pics (if allowed)! :D

Myself? Applying at Petsmart. Seriously.

I am slightly irritated because the folks who run the one here don't have ANY idea what they are doing. You know how they do the job preview thing? Well, I was doing one of my bi weekly check ins and the manager that I spoke to said, "Well, um. I don't even know if we are using that system to hire people any more. You'll just have to apply again." I have no problem with applying again but their incompetence and lack of knowledge about their duties aggravates me.

Also, applying at vet clinics and whatnot.

Sounds like fun! I hope Peej and Bailey enjoy their day at doggy day camp! :D

What a fun job!:D

I love my job at Petsmart too. I'm one of their dog trainers, and LOVE it. I get paid for puppy kisses and to watch them grow up in front of me.

Yeah, I have issues with the management too, but I'm not going to let that ruin the fun I have with the pets. I wish we had the Petshotel in ours. We don't even have a vet in ours yet (but then again, its a new store)

Oh I would love a job a PetsMart.. My only problem would be playing with all the babies to much & not getting my job done.. But then that would be my job :D ..

Yes, its called the PetsHotel. They offer Doggie Day Care, Doggie Day Camp and boarding.

I never thought I'd see anything sad there...it's a fun place, after all. Today 3 dogs between the ages of 10 and 13 were dropped off for a week. :( One was full of mats and stickers, one was almost totally blind and the other had arthritis. I sat in their kennel with them for awhile and almost cried so I had to leave them. :( :(

On a brighter note, two boxers tried to eat my hair. :D

I didn't even know about the PetsHotel! Ours just got a Banfield. I wanted to work at Petsmart but I can't drive yet and walking there takes an hour because it's 3 miles away. I got a job at a Walgreens a few blocks from my house. Niño and I sometimes walk to Petsmart though!

That sounds like my dream job! WOW! :eek: Lots of dogs. It sounds awesome and I'm glad your having fun.

I just started to volunteer at the Cat Adoption centre at our Petsmart :D We don't have a Doggy Day Care though..:(
I'd love to work at one though, maybe when I'm a bit older I will apply
