Happy Birthday sweet little Peggy! :)

I visited her today and brought her some good things to eat, and I also played "kitty light" with her. Here you can see her checking her b-day present (sorry, the pictures didn't turn out well):

Meanwhile I regret that I haven't bought a little scratching post for her, as she has none. My mother thinks an outdoor cat won't need a thing like that, but Peggy is spending many hours inside, and when she's using the furniture, she's getting scolted. And yes, I had many discussions about this with my mother, but she won't listen, as usual. Even the fact that Peggy has problems with her claws lately (I saw her being "hooked" on the carpet) didn't make her reconsider, and I just don't get it!! :mad: How can a person be so stupid?

OMG! SERIOUS CUTENESS WARNING on those kitten Peggy pics!

How cute - and what a lovely little lady she is now.

Even with scratching posts and pads, I find I still trim my cat's nails as they get long and curved - and also to keep the boys from hurting each other during their playfights!

And I have been lucky - the furniture is left alone!

Is there a special scratching post you use, Kirsten?

Ahhhhhhh Peggy is so gorgeous and was such a sweet little kitty! Happy 1st Birthday! I love the last kitten pic of her where she is sleeping! :)
