Hurrican Katrina dog is looking for a good home

Sometimes I take the time to be selfish and thank the stars that I wasn't in New Orleans. I can't imagine losing my house, being cooped up in a stadium, and having animal lovers swoop over the town and take all the dogs. Then they send them to fosters and whatnot all over the U.S. I can't imagine what it would be like trying to track down a shelter several states away and then to try to track down the person they gave the dog to. I hope whoever adopts her has the heart to continue advertising the whereabouts of somebodies dog. We've got Katrina dogs here in Wisconsin. Imagine finally finding your dog only to find out its in Wisconsin with a new family that legally "adopted" it. I'd be horrified if after a hurricane when I finally track down my dog she's been adopted to a family many states away. Sorry, I've been meaning to vent like this forever. I know this has nothing to do with that dog since they actually found the family, but there are so many who haven't found their families.
