What is the most common age to have a rabbit spayed? Is there a minimum age?
Female rabbits are sexually mature at about 4 months, but as long as it is not kept with another male rabbit, then it's best to wait until the rabbit is about 6 or seven months. Vets prefer to operate on animals which are a little more likely to cope under anaesthetic, especially females as the operation is more complicated than those of the males.
OK, Thanks so much for the info. :D
Miss Hoppy was spayed at 6 months, which was what her doctor recommended.
6 months sounds good:D
