ok..well its like this..I don't mid of we spay and neutar(don't know how to spell it) but the original owner convinced my dad to breed them. they have been bred together 2 or 3 times already. and my dad wants to bred them the original owner said we could bring them to her if we need help or anything...and i guess thats y...

And might I add that the "original owner" doesn't sound too responsible. Most RESPONSIBLE breeders encourage neutering and spaying their dogs to avoid overpopulation and accidental litters.

Then if your breeders said that, he/she is HORRIBLE, UNCARING breeder. What an uneducated person to say that! That just makes me so sick.
PLEASE SPAY/NEUTER YOUR DOGS!

They'll live a much healthier, and much longer life, if your dog spay and/or neuter.

I agree with the above replies. This whole situation just does not sound good.

I strongly suggest you seek help from your vet, which is one of the MANY things that should be done anyways when breeding dogs.

She has already been bred too many times. You really need to be a responsible owner and get her spayed and the dad nuetered. I will leave it at that.

SERIOUSLY, if you and your family don't know when dog is in heat, you DON'T need to be breeding. period. Breeding any animal needs to be left to professional, experienced, dedicated people. Have your Chi's been shown and titled? Have they been tested for health diseases? Does your Dad know that there are already countless Chi's dying in shelters... not to mention millions of other breeds? And, what if your Chi needs an emergency c-section, or her uterus becomes infected shortly afterwards... or, the very likely occurance that she does not nurse her puppies, leaving your family up at all hours of the day/night to bottlefeed newborns? That is $1000's right there, and you are risking her life and newborn puppies lives. And for what? A few dollars? You could easily spend way more on caring for her and her litter than you will get from her pups... especially since Chi's often have just 1 puppy.

I agree with you all...... not only does it prevent unwanted puppies, it will prevent a uterus infection.. which by the way, is deadly! and male castration will prevent testicular cancer.. both operations is likely to calm them down, and stop them from wondering off.
