My newly adopted baby Jasmine...about 8 weeks, is such a "momma's girl". She is such a sweet kitten, it's unreal. This is the kitty I rescued from a bad situation. Everytime she hears my voice, she will come to where I'm at and lay down in my lap or wherever she can find on my body. My fiancee' will hold her and I'll say something to her, and she'll perk up and come over to me. I think it has alot to do with me talking to her on the way home from where I got her from. It was a good 30 minute ride and I told her all about her new home and the brother and 4 sisters waiting for her. Maybe that's why she acts that way towards me..lol. Does anyone else here talk to their babies like humans or am I just crazy? :D

Of course we talk to our cats!!! They just love to hear their names and it is just SO RELAXING to talk to them. They really do listen!!! I love it when one of the cats comes up and STARTS the conversation!!! HAPPY CAT CHATTING!

You bet I talk to them! And they talk back. Wilbur especially is very chatty, Petey not so much. Wilbur will come into the room as soon as I call him, talking all the way. Petey has to be in the mood.

My Sasha will "call out" to me from wherever in the house she is. Of course I immediately answer her and she comes running to the sound of my voice! :D

I love that! My Tabitha is older (17) and she is either usually alseep somewhere comfy or laying on top of me! Of course, I always tell them both that Meowmie loves them!

Each night before bed, I say, "Good night Tabitha, I love you. Good night Sasha, I love you too. Everyone sleep well, sleep fast, sleep tight, and I will see you in the morning light." (Yes, I say it even if I am the only one in the room!) :rolleyes:

And every morning, as I leave for work, I tell them to have a good day, play hard, be nice to one another, and to have wonderful kitty cat dreams!

Whadda ya think? Do I talk to my girls? OF COURSE!!!!!!!!!!

Ok..Good I'm not the only one! Everytime I leave for work in the mornings I spend 10 minutes picking each one up, giving kisses, saying my good-byes, and raising all the blinds in the house so they can look out. My blinds are the enemy..lol

I can't say whether or not you are crazy - but I can promise you that I talk to my cats all the time. And they may or not be crazy, but at least one of them consistently answers me, very volubly. So - talk away, and enjoy it. I think you are probably in good company here!

If we told our cat Sylvester to go outside she woudl turn around and walk out - she knew from your tone that she was doing something wrong or going somewhere she shouldnt be.
