Prayers for our friend doolittleky/Melissa

As some of you know, our dear PT friend doolittleky/Melissa had to have her beloved Jade PTS in December. She was 13 years old.
Melissa felt comfort in all your prayers in her time of grief.

She needs your prayers again.
Last Thursday, her beautiful persian Sophie died at home before Melissa could get her to the vets. Sophie would have been 15 on March 8th. Sophie was Melissa's first cat and she was so extra special to her.

Losing one cat was bad enough for her, but to lose another one in such a short time has completely devastated Melissa.

Please send Melissa some prayers and well wishes. I am hoping that she will be able to read this thread in a few days and take comfort once again in knowing how much we understand and care.

I Am Sorry To Hear About Sophies Passing.
The First Cat That You Are Friends With Is Always The Hardest To Lose,and You Were Generally Alone With that Cat Alone,for A While.
Jade Was Sitting There Waiting For His Friend Sophie To Join Him,so Jade Could Show Sophir Where Everything At The Rainbow Bridge Is.
They Are Now Cat Angels Together,and Jade is Now Comforted By Having A Companion With Him.
And They Will Have Such Stories To Tell You When You Meet Again.

Thank you all so much. It is so hard for me right now, first Jade and then my Sophie too. It just breaks my heart. I hadn't even got use to jade not being there and now Sophie. I keep looking for her waiting for her to come meet me at the door when I come home from work. Why can't they live longer?

I was sorry to hear about your double loss of both Jade and Sophie, they were lovely.

There seem to be several of us reeling from the sudden loss of our dearly loved cats in just the past week or so. I have lost 4 of my 10 cats in the past eleven months, losing Ted last week. I still can't write about him. I know, from too much recent experience, that time will mellow the memories but it's hard to get past the current churning thoughts of "I should have noticed" "I should have checked" "I shouldn't have waited an hour", etc. We are all going to have to take comfort from the many messages of support from other PT people who understand the pain, shock and bewilderment. We've all got to keep in our minds the memories that make us smile and remember how much pleasure our cats took in their lives with us, and us with them.
