Mobius update

Mobius is my 12 year old cat who was diagnosed with diabetes a month ago. Since then she's doing really well on two small shots of insulin (2 units each) twice a day. She knows she gets a treat, so now she runs to the treat bag!

A kind soul donated a special litter box which makes it much easier to get a sample for testing. It has non-absorbant litter, and the urine is collected in a convenient container. She LOVES her new box!

Awww. I am glad Mobius is doing better! Sounds like Mobius knows that just a pinch of pain will get him a nice treat! Hope things keep looking up!

Good job Mobius!!! You are a very smart kitty to get those treats after you get your insulin!!! Can you please tell us MORE about that litter pan, it sounds interesting. It would be helpful when I am asked to bring in a urine sample!! Thanks!!

It's called the Smart cat box. It's actually carried by Petsmart but they were out of stock when I looked at the web site. There's a link from www.felinediabetes.com. Not only useful for diabetic cats, but any cats that you need to get frequent samples from. (I sound like a sales pitch... :p )
