Wow, he's so cute! Is he very tame? Does he know you personally? Like you can say his name and he reconizes his voice.. what's he like with you?

Thanks. He isn't that tame... pics of his face are VERY rare. But when he wakes up, I gotta have the camera out. He doesn't know me personally because I only go to my dad's every other weekend. But I can tell he is friendlier with me then my friends because I know how he likes to be held and stuff.

When I play with him I put a blanket over my legs because he'll accidently spike me through my jeans... but he's very curious and likes to explore things. Especially under the couch.

BTW if anyone knows how to resize things, I was wondering if you could resize my siggy?

Aww! He is such a cutie! How long have you had him? I know that it took Splinter about two months to start to recognize me as family, and someone she can trust. I am the only one who ever handles her in my family, so with anyone else that comes around, Splinter stays curled up.

I hope that soon you can get Spike to come out of his shell! Once he does, you will get to know him so much more!
Do you have a ball for him, and how often do you get him out of his cage? (I know it won't be that often because you said you go to your dads every other weekend.) and could you possibly bring him home with you once in a while?

Thanks for sharing the pics!

I have had Spike since... November I think? We got him from an auction, so I don't know how he was treated at his last home, so he may be a bit more shy then other hedgies. I love him all the same, though. He only gets to come out of his cage when I'm there... unless my dad cleans his cage out and has to take him out. Lots of times he doesn't wake up until about the time we go to bed. It'd be really awsome to take him to my mom's... I doubt she'd allow it though. I can't have anymore animals that have the bedding in their cages because my mom has serious asthma problems with it... that's why I had to rehome my old Guinea Pig, Sugarbabie.

Okay...what type of bedding do you use? I know that I had asthma problems with alfalfa (we still kept Splinter, because it wasn't THAT bad), and now we have bought Carefresh. I have no more problems, it traps in all of the hedgie smell, and the bedding itself doesn't smell!
