I am still angry that Mandesa left......

I'm with you Flatcoatluver. I can't get over the fact that Mandesa is gone. The show just isn't the same. I did think they all had their best night this week so far. Unlike most people, I think Ace was the best he's done yet. I haven't been impressed with him at all in the past. He is a cutie pie though ;) For some reason, I love Elliot. When he goes I'll be very sad. I was also sad to see Bucky go, especially after hearing his Dad talk about him. I think it will come down to Kellie and Chris at the end and I think Chris is probably going to win :)

I was upset that Bucky left last night. If we are basing it on performances from the night before, which it seems like America is doing, then I don't understand why Bucky left. If we are basing it on talent then Bucky and a few others should have gone long ago. I think Ace was far worse than Bucky though, and he should have gone last night. His huge ego is on my last nerve, too. But I personally like Bucky's personality, though a lot of people on message boards have been saying they can't understand him. I can understand everything he says lol. His accent is pretty normal around here :p

I was really upset to see Elliot in the bottom 3. He is my favorite. He is one of the few left that actually has talent, and in my opinion is the only one left who is still grounded. (Well Taylor seems pretty grounded too.) And his 'life story' ... how sweet! I love that he can cry in front of people and not be ashamed.

I love Chris as well but I don't think he has been good the past few weeks. And the eyeliner was a huge turnoff. Still love his smile, though ;)

I really enjoyed Taylor's performance. I was up getting money ready for the pizza guy and I just started dancing! :D I love that song!

I personally thought that Katharine was awful. It sounded like she was sort of screaming, and she sounded a little sharp to me.

Kellie did pretty good but she is getting on my nerves. Oh, and nice going mentioning the "snot rag" :rolleyes:

I guess I am one of the few who enjoyed Paris' performance. I liked the look too, thought it fit the song and the theme.

I just caught up.

I was worried about Taylor. But I'm glad to see that you all still are rooting for him. After his clumsiness, and doing that lousy, bubblegum rock Queen song, I figured he was doomed.

I loved Elliot. That was a very difficult song, especially compared to what Ace sang.

Ace, well, everyone has seemed to turn on him. At the beginning of this thread he surely was the pretty, golden boy. I never liked him.

Bucky, it doesn't really matter if he or Ace went first, they both are going to go. Still, Mandisa should still be sitting there.

Comparing Paris to Katherine. Paris' high belt note was much clearer than Katherine's.

Chris has been a bit disappointing lately, I can't put my finger on it, he sure can sing. Maybe it's his selection.

Kelly, I didn't dig it.

I watched the Ellen show when Kevin was on. So was that your husband playing the piano? That's very cool. The camera showed him 2 or 3 times. Did hubby have a good time? Did he have time to enjoy Universal Studios. I love that place.

That was my Chris playing piano. He was in the shot more than I thought he'd be.

He wasn't nervous at all. I reminded him that it was in front of millions of TV viewers, and we don't do that often...

Chris is in the parks routinely, so he doesn't partake of the amusements there....rarely....

We live only 15 minutes away, and I haven't been to SeaWorld, Universal, or Animal Kingdom...

I hadn't really been that impressed with Elliot previously, but I thought he did great this week.

Did anyone else think Kelly looked a little like Lita Ford at the beginning of her song? I think it was the hair.

That's so funny, Amy. I remember her and actually heard one of her songs the other day on a music channel. Kellie did look a bit like her.

I hated to see Bucky go, but I do think it was time. At this point I hate to see anyone go. It makes me sad :( . I was really sweating it out that Elliot was in the bottom three. I'm a big fan of his. I'm going to have to place alot of votes for him next week;)

My top three are Elliot, Taylor and Chris. I think Chris is going to win.

Chris did well. Albiet a safe song.

Paris, lots of style.

Taylor. That was not a call from the American Songbook (standard). That was a 50's song.

Elliot. That was a poor choice of song.

Kellie. The most glaring error in her performance, only Paula picked it up!
SHE GOT AHEAD OF THE MUSIC (by at least 2 beats) and clashed with the chord changes!

Ace. Pretty much bad. Out of tune.

Katherine. Great sense of style, good ability in carrying a song. First time time she's impressed me at all.

AAAGGHHH!!! I fell asleep and missed Chris & Paris, so I can't tell you what I thought of them. :( But as for the rest: :D

Taylor: I thought he did really good. He just makes the crowd go wild and he's a great performer.

Elliot: I actually missed some of his singing but what I did hear, I sort of liked.

Kellie: Ugh. That was awful. But I wouldn't want her to leave just yet because she's been pretty good throughout the whole competition.

Ace: I'm sorry to say I liked it. But what's with the new look? And did you hear Simon give him a positive review? I almost passed out (along with Ace).

Katherine: Wow! That was awesome!

I voted once for Taylor and once for Katherine.

My bottom 3: Eliott (because I don't think his voice is anything special - though I do think he seems like a great guy), Ace (because I don't think he's been good throughout the whole competition) and Paris (just because I don't think she's as good as some of the others).

I hope i don't fall asleep tonight!

From what I hear, it was the best so far . . . which is a good thing . . . seems like it hasn't been all that good up until now, so I'm glad that they're at least improving.

I did catch Kellie's performance . . . poor girl and I did see Ace's new dooooooooooo . . . . :eek: or whatever that is LOL . . . what are the stylist on that show thinking anyway? They have really embarrassed some of them this year! With all the makeup . . . dressing Taylor that one week like a 19 year old preppy, and now the slicked back look for Ace? Ugh! Not to mention "the many faces of paris" . . . I guess that's showbiz. :)

Anyway . . . can't wait to watch tonight . . . just wish I had an opinion based on what happened last night. Can't believe I missed it!

So did I. Someone knocked on our door 10 minutes before the show and didn't leave until almost 2 hours later. :( They were only suppose to stop and pick something up. :confused:

From past performances, I will not be upset if it is Ace that leaves (no matter how good he did last night).

Taylor: I just love him! What a performer and he did well!

Kellie: She did bad and knew it but she is usually really good!

Paris: She did well but nothing special for me.

Ace: He did better than usual but I disagree with Simon the new look was bad

Chris: Good change for him and was alright.

Elliot: It was alright and I like him but he doesnt seem to be really popular.

Katherine: She did excellent, she was the best of the night!

I am still watching now. lol I am watching the journey that Ace took because he is going home! OMG Finally going home. Sorry, but he wasn't one of my favorites. :o I felt sorry that Taylor had to choose which group was the bottom three. Also surprised that Chris was in the bottom three he sings very well.

First of all I want to say I'm GLAD Ace is gone!!

BUT, Chris DID NOT deserve to be in the bottom two. omgosh. I just about ate my own hand I was so nervous for him. UHG!

Needless to say..... I jumped out of my seat, jumping for joy when Chris was safe and Ace was G-O-N-E!!

I would have never, ever watched it ever again if Ace stayed and Chris left.

Can't wait until next week. :)

Oh yeah, and POOR TAYLOR!! I know he knew who was going home, though..:)

Well . . . like I said before, I didn't see the show last night but I am still in shock that Chris was in the bottom 2.

Was he bad?

Guess this is when it gets hairy. People start getting voted off when you least expect it.

Chris is my #1 fav. Guess I'm going to have to get my dialing finger ready next week. HEY! Maybe me missing the show last night is why he was in the bottom two!!! :eek: Oh no!!! :eek: :eek: :eek: LOL

Don't assume that Chris had the second lowest number of votes. It could have been Paris. They only tell you that that was the bottom three.

Now each and every contestant has been in the bottom 3.

Now even Chris has a chink in the armor.

I did not see the show last night but I was also shocked that Chris was in the bottom 3. when the split groups were made I was so sure that the bottom 3 was elliot/kellie/katherine because Chris would never be in the bottom 3! :eek: I felt so bad for taylor, but I enjoyed his little "I will just go this way..what no? I'll just go the other way.." lol

Man I was sweating bullets waiting for the results.I couldn't believe Chris was in the bottom 3 :mad:that was a shocker.I believe my heart stoped while the results were read :eek: .Thank goodness it was Ace.Yay!Chris is still going on,glad I still got him to drool over :p :D

Taylor: I thought he did pretty good. I love that song he sang and I thought he sang it really well.

Elliot: He was really good. I wasn't crazy about his rendition of the song. But other than that, he was very good. And he looked smashing in his suit.

Kellie: Time to say "good bye". That was so uninspiring and she really seemed like a robot.

Katherine: I thought her performance was awesome! The judges hated it, but I was wowed by it. And she looked great in that dress.

Chris: Blah. I wasn't crazy about it. I think the whole rock thing is getting boring for me.

Paris: I thought she was pretty good. I thought it started out badly, but she kicked it with her high ranging vocals.

Katharine - Ehh, she's alright. I've never really liked her, but I can understand why other people do. I think it's her attitude that has made me dislike her, not her voice.

Elliot - He deserves to win this. He has the best voice by a mile.

Kellie - Yeah ... that sucked.

Taylor - He was alright. The beginning was pitchy, but he got better towards the end and really made the song.

Paris - She did good, but not good enough.

Chris - He rocked again, finally! After a few weeks of thinking he's gone downhill, I'm really glad to see him do a good performance again!

Bottom three - Kellie, Paris, and Katharine.

Going home - I think Paris will go, but Kellie is the one who should go. She's the only one left who doesn't have a powerful voice.

I thought the judges were kind of hard on Katherine. I don't really care for her, like .sarah it's an attitude thing, but she wasn't that bad tonight.

Katherine-I usually don't care to much about her either but I thought she did really good tonight! For like the first time I really enjoyed her but the judges didnt :confused:

Elliot- Did really well I thought, he is a true idol but not many ppl seem to care for him. My Mom loveeees him!

Kelly- I use to love her but she isnt progressing, she can't get out of her comfort zone and isnt able to do other styles of music. I think her time has come.

Taylor- I just love him, he did alright tonight, but just alright.

Paris- I don't like her at all and never have. Her performance was alright I guess but it was to old for her.

Chris- I never really bothered with him but man did he do good tonight :eek: Omg I just loved his performance and especially after the past couple of weeks, this pulls him out of danger I think! Plus he sang my fav song and Brian Adams is Canadian ;)

Kat: She's really beautiful but I think Randy & the judges were right about the song being too big for her. She *tried* but I don't think she really pulled it off. She has an awesome voice but I wish that she'd back it down a bit. Not try quite that hard.

Elliot: He is such a sweetie and I thought he did fantastic tonight! I really hope he stays!!! He has such a unique voice! I just love listening to him! I would be really interested to see what kind of an album he would come out with!

Kellie: Poor girl . . . she just hasn't been doing well. Last night was the worst yet. Unless she just has a crazy fan base, I can't see her going much further after that. (that and she's currently on "votefortheworst.com") . . . maybe that's why she's still hanging in there. :eek:

Taylor: I always love Taylor . . . for some reason, I just love his voice. Maybe it's my bluegrass/country/KY roots. I don't know. I just love his southern feel. I enjoyed his performance tonight, although it wasn't my favorite. I still can't imagine him being in the bottom 3.

Paris: I haven't liked her from the beginning. I like her speaking voice, I hate her singing voice. She tries to sound like a 40 year old and she looks like a 15 year old. Paris - your time is coming.

The bottom 3 will be . . . Paris, Kellie & Kat.

I hope that Kellie or Paris goes tonight. Either would be fine with me.

My bottom three picks are: Kelli (I think she should go tonight), Paris and Taylor (sadly because I like Him).

I did not agree with the judges about Katherine. I thought she sounded good and I did not compare her to Whitney Houston. I just enjoyed her perfomance.

Kelli was very weak. Chris did a very good job but Elliot was the best. It even brought Paula Abdul to tears (which had me in tears :o ).

Well, I hated to see Kellie go but I think she was definitely in line next. I mean, at this point, everyone is great. They all have star potential IMO. There can only be ONE though . . .

Kellie's performance last night was pretty terrible . . . I think she'd do fine sticking with country/bluegrass. Who knows.

What is the theme for next week? Did they ever say??? I missed that part!

I was a bit surprised that Kat or Paris didn't go tonight, honestly. Kellie has proven that she has a big fan base, so I didn't think she'd get the boot. But, it was her time to go, especially after last night and last week's performances. ACK! I hope Paris is next, and then Kat. I believe Chris will win (he's good and all, just not my favourite), but I really hope that Elliot or Taylor win. I doubt Taylor will win, but I really think him and Elliot are the real deals. <3

I've missed the last two weeks, but due to a wonderful little thing called DVR, I was able to get caught up last night.

It was Kellie's time to go. Paula said it best when she said that she wasn't raising the bar each week.

The rest of the competition is going to get really interesting. The top 5 are all very, very talented.

Elliott: I missed his first song. Didn't even see the recap so I'm not even sure what it was. Liked the second song though . . . I really like his voice and when he makes it BIG, it's so great! I think he'll do great, even if he doesn't make it as the AI.

Paris: I don't know what it is about her, I just don't like her voice. I think it's how her speaking voice is so baby-fied and her singing voice sounds like she's a 50 year old woman, you know? I really wish she'd try to sound YOUNGER when she sings. I think that if she did, I'd like her a whole lot more because I LOVE her personality, I just hate her singing voice.

Chris: IMO, Chris can do no wrong. I just can't imagine him getting voted out . . . but he was in the bottom 2 that one time :eek: . . . I thought he did GREAT tonight though!!! Especially that first song! He's so hot!

Kat: The first song was okay . . . Vocally, the second song was great. But that thing she did on the floor was kind of gross. Looked raunchy a few times there, if you know what I mean! Was I missing something?

Taylor: I LOVED Taylor tonight! Wow! He was really on fire! Really loved his first song and then I thought that vocally, his second song was outstanding. I had no idea that he could sing that well! LOL

I *think* the bottom 2 will be Paris & Elliott :( . . .

If I have to choose, I hope that Paris goes.

I am not a big fan of Chris's, never have been but he knocked my socks off tonight and he does have it ALL, the whole package along with a beautiful voice. I see him winning when all is said and done.

Taylor had me hopping! I was yelling "WAY TO GO TAYLOR!" on that first song he did, he is just adoreable...

I will be really surprised if Chris is not one of the final 2. I'd bet on Taylor and Chris, if I were going to bet.

I guess I wouldn't be totally surprised if it came down to the 3 guys...or maybe that is just what I am hoping for. I have never been a big fan of Kat's and I think it is Paris's speaking voice that turns me off of her.

Elliott - He's my favorite but I didn't think he was at his best tonight. His first song was good but not magical and I just don't like the second song he sang. He sang it fine but it is a boring song that I turn away from when I hear it on the radio. On that note I really hope he stays. I called and got through for him about 10 times.

Chris - I thought his first song was great - loved it when I was young - but I didn't care for his second song. He really bleats like a goat when he sings.

Katherine - I thought she butchered the first song and didn't care for how she performed the second but she did sing it better. I just don't like her attitude or something. She really puts me off.

Taylor - I thought his first song was great but I just hate that second song he sang and his version sounded like a funeral march to me.

Paris - She did better on Kiss than I imagined but I'm very tired of her. Hope she's the one that goes and not Elliott!

Elliott, he's so talented. He can sing anything and sound great, BUT, he lost my attention on the 2nd song. I'm not a Michael Buble fan, but I am an Elliott fan. My fear is that he's not very main-stream and he won't get the votes he needs.

Paris, ehh, nothing special. Mary J. Blidge was tough to pull off, but she did it. The only thing I didn't like, as Paula said, is that she didn't make it her own.

Chris, why is this competition still going? Just crown him the AI already. I loved both songs he sang and I'd never heard the 2nd one before.

Katherine, I wasn't crazy about the first song, I thought it was pitchy, but I loved the vocals on the 2nd song. She should really consider recording that genre when she gets her deal. I, too, didn't get the whole floor thing. :rolleyes:

Taylor, what can I say? He's just a great performer. He may not be the strongest vocally, but heck, I'd buy a ticket to see him. His dancing is half the act!

My bottom two is also Paris and Elliott with Paris going bye-bye.

I didn't vote tonight. Not feeling too good. I barely watched the show. But here is my quick opinion:

Elliot - Didn't catch the 1st song but the 2nd song was nice. He has a great sounding voice.

Paris - Blah. I thought both songs stunk. Her speaking voice bugged me but now her singing voice is starting to.

Taylor - Awesome show! He was great bopping around in the 1st song and his second song showed how great his vocals are.

Kat - Didn't really pay attention to the 1st song, but I thought the 2nd song was great.

Chris - Renegade was awesome. Second song stunk. P.U.

Bottom 3 - Paris, Elliot and Kat
Leaving tonight - I hope it's Chris but I think it's going to be Paris :D

Elliot: First song was Blaaahhh and the second one was better but he isnt really catching the audience and the people so I dont think he will get many votes. He is a great singer though and really talented.

Paris: Ok I hate he talking voice! She drives me and I never liked her. Her first song Kiss was terrible!!!!! Her second one was just a Kareoke and I think she needs to go!

Elliot wasn't his strongest. I think when he is on, he is really good. I like him a lot.

Paris, I'm tired of her and hope she's the one to leave tonight.

Chris, He sounds the same in all his songs and it gets boring. What I really hate the most is that he sings from his throat and not from his diaphram. He could be so much better if he learned voice control.

Kat, I love her voice when she isn't pitchy. Her first song last night was weak but her second song was great (minus the floor routine).

Taylor... he entertains me and I was laughing out loud with his first song and cheering him. His second song worried me at first but he pulled it off with great vocals. It's hard to do a Beatles tune and make it work (especially when it's such a popular song).

My bottom two are Paris and Elliot (sadly). I hope Paris goes and Elliot has a chance to redeem himself next week.

I think Chris is going to win it. I love Taylor but I think Chris is a better singer. The final 2 I could see being Taylor and Chris, which considering I like both is a win win for me... ;)

I used to love Chris but I have started noticing that he screams a lot. Oh, and when his voice "rolls", all I heard is "baaaa" like a sheep. Not meant to be offensive, but that really is what it sounds like to me :o I would probably buy his CD though, unless if his singles are of him screaming - that really annoys me. I do think he is talented, I just think that Taylor and Elliot are better.

Holy cow! What a night!

Taylor - He rocks! What an entertainer! He is composed, cool & fun when he's on the stage. Love him.

Chris - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Can you show a little emotion? He butchered the 2nd song. I love that song but he just sang it by the book. He shows no emotion - not even fun!

Elliot - He was awesome last night! What a great voice! I love him!

Kat - Hmmmmm.....I have to give her kudo's for her past performances. But last night she really wasn't that good. I think she was trying too hard. However, you have to give her double kudo's for trying something different.

I voted for Taylor, Elliot & Kat last night (once each). I got through to Kat's line after 15 minutes. It took me about 20 minutes to get through to Taylor's and a 1/2 hour to get through to Elliot's. I think Kat will go home tonight just because I don't think she has a big fan base.

What a great show!! I love Elvis and this show had even me up on my feet dancing! These last 4 are super talented and it's hard to pick who will go tonight. As a matter of fact, I've enjoyed watching this year more than ever. I think Kat will go tonight and I still think that Chris will win overall. I sat on the phone last night off and on for an hour voting like a giddy school girl ;) . I cast all my votes for Elliot. Go Elliot!! And yes, he was on fire last night! :)

I have come to enjoy Chris and I think he will be the winner. He has the complete package of a Idol as well as having a great voice. If you just shut your eyes and listen.... his voice is awesome (taking away that eye candy to sway you)..

Taylor, I just LOVE him and his bayou sounding voice. He is loaded with personality and he would make a great Idol too. Those are my two picks still...

Kat has a awesome voice but she needs some training or something. Her voice is not consistant and it sounds like she runs out of wind a lot and hit a wrong note to much.. A little training and she will go far, even without American Idol.

I think all 3 of them are going to be winners when all is said and done, just to much talent for the record companies to ignore.

Taylor was Taylor. Everyone loves him, but to me he's just not American Idol material. He's entertaining as all get out, but vocally he seems limited.

Kat - what happened? Usually I love her, but she just didn't bring it last night. She may end up paying for that.

Well, like the majority of you, I was shocked! I thought for sure it would be Kat leaving last night since her performance Tuesday night was weak. After getting over the shock though, I must say, I'm glad Chris is gone. He was always sounding the same to me also. I wanted more variety and style from him and he just didn't produce.

Of the final three, I like them all so I'll just have to wait and see how they perform! ;)

True, now that the initial shock has worn off, I have to agree that Chris, while a very good rock singer, was very one dimentional. He could sing the heck out of a rock song, but anything else seemed to lack that "it" factor. The second song he did was so boring and monotone. I still think based on Tuesday's performances that Kat should have gone, but neither Chris nor Kat should be the winner.

I know Elliot has had some weak performances over the entire competition usually because of nerves, but his performances on Tuesday were much better than Chris's were. He truly did deserve to have more votes than Chris and Kat. I did think that Chris was better than Kat though (even though I like her more than him).

I personally think America was on the right track (based on performances alone and not personalities). :D

Well, if this mis-vote thing turns out to be true, you may have been closer than I thought.
But, look at it this way, if Katharine received a portion (or even all of) Chris' votes, it only 'rocketed' her into 3rd position. That pretty much means that Elliot still got a lot more votes.
I wish they'd had told us who got more votes, Elliot or Taylor.

I believe if Chris is indeed knocked out, his voting alliance will go mainly to Taylor.

Chris is actually luckier than anyone who wins Idol. The winner has a ten year contract to idol. Chris has been offered to be the lead singer for Fuel. He and the winner will most likely get the same amount of money. At this point in the competition, there are record deals sitting out there just begging for the contestants to be eliminated. They'll probably be called the night they are eliminated. :rolleyes: So really, even though this is wrong in just about every other situation, the phrase "everyone's a winner" seems to fit this.

It's like she thinks she's the best performer in the world, and when the judges don't really like what she's done, she claims it's not her fault or they're being too hard on her - oh please! If she does a bad/semi-okay job, she just needs to recognize it - her first song was NOT good... and her third song wasn't really all that great either. So even though she will make it through, she needs to realize she has flaws! She's not perfect.

Elliot did great, but I didn't care for the songs he sang. Not very well known songs. I hope that doesn't come back to haunt him.

Katherine, I didn't care for the first song, 2nd song was awesome and 3rd song sucked.

Taylor....OMG! What else can I say, he rocked all 3 songs. Based on last night's performances, he should be the winner.

I like Katharine. How come it's not okay for her to make note that the judges have been hard on her lately but it has been for past contestants (and don't ask me who, I don't remember, I just know that her comments aren't the first of their kind). I think she did poorly with Elvis week, but those are hard songs for a woman to sing and sing well. I think she did really well with all 3 songs, especially "Somewhere Over the Rainbow".

Elliot was boring. I'd be happy to see him gone tonight.

Taylor must have shows mixed up. I thought this was American Idol and all he does is American Impersonation. He even impersonated Joe Cocker's facial ticks!! Come ON!!! He's got a good voice, but show some originality!

I'd like to see Katharine and Taylor in the finale next week with Katharine winning. I can't see Taylor singing a song about puppies and rainbows, like the Idol producers come up with every year (hello - "Inside Your Heaven"? BARF!).

I think Katherine would be awesome if she would quit trying to be a Diva and just sing the song. She tries to make every song that "moment" song and it comes out overdone. I hate the way she sings from a low note up to high quickly. Like nails on a chalk board for me. She needs some serious coaching. I had to laugh at her trying to recapture Fantasia's "Summertime" moment by being on the floor to sing. At least she did sing the second song well and I was impressed.

Like some of the other's though, I don't like her attitude. She really puts me off.

I love Elliott but I think he missed his chance to shine last night, especially with the second song - one of my all time favorites. Too bad, I would have loved to see him in the final two.

Taylor - I'm not a huge fan but I think this competition is his to lose.

I was very sad last night too. I hate to see Elliot go but I sorta knew it would be him. Kat has a fan base somewhere that's keeping her alive. The voting was so close it was unbelievable. Taylor is another story. In my opinion...he jumps around way to much and sings way too little. When he does sing, he sounds off key most of the time. What is he gonna do as our Idol winner? I do think he's going to win over Kat however so maybe we'll get to find out. I'm like many others, I've never liked him either. He lacks insincerity to me. There's something about that guy that I don't like. Good luck to Elliot in everything he tries to do. A man with tears in his eyes gets me every time :(

I am glad Elliot got the boot last night, although I would've been equally satisfied if Joe Co- errr, Taylor left too. If HE wins the entire thing, I don't know what I'll do. Maybe not watch next year. I do think that Katharine is the best singer (when she doesn't try to over do it) and fits the image of the American Idol the best.

Every time my son plays his guitar and gets on stage to sing my heart swells and I'm so proud that he even has the courage to get up there and do that. To this day when I walk into our YMCA and see my son's name up there on the swim team record board I get all sappy and want to shout out to anyone passing by that that is my son's name up there...lol. Of course I don't do that though :p .

I thought Elliot sang "Moody's Mood for Love" extremely well. But it's the only style of song he can do! I'm not saying Katharine has nailed every single genre, but at least she doesn't sound the same all. the. time. *cough* Elliot *cough* *hack* Taylor *hack* When she just sings and doesn't try to go all diva, she has a beautiful voice. She is a much better fit for the title of Idol than Taylor. Besides the "soul patrol" (lame!), who is going to buy his records? I love blues and old classics, which seem to be his forte, and I wouldn't buy his stuff because I don't think he's anything special. Can he sing? Yes. Does he knock my socks off? No. Does Katharine? She can - "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was proof enough of that.

I was listening to one of my usual radio stations this morning and they always do a section on AI and one of them has been doing alot of interviews and watching the shows there in person. This morning he was saying that Chris was not such a nice guy. Of course he was going to tell his story when they returned after break and as you all know that takes forever so I wound up not getting to hear the story..lol. Has anyone else heard any reports about Chris not being very nice?

AND..wow, it seems like every where I go someone is saying something negative about Katharine and I have to say I just don't get it. I think she is good. I think she is talented. I can certainly see her putting out some good videos with all those great facial expressions that everyone hates...lol. :p

I missed the first songs, so I can't comment on those. The second round Katharine did do better but Taylor still did well. The third round - how cheesy were those songs? Especially Katharine's! I feel sorry for them that they have to sing those. Katharine's singing in that song was a mess to me. The low notes sounded awful and she just didn't seem like she was into it. Taylor blew her away that round!

I think Taylor is our American Idol :D

Kat's last song was a train wreck. She was out of tune, pitchy and just drug along. I was so glad when it was over! Both those songs were awful but at least Taylor committed and put some personality into it. I think it just shows that Kat can't sing a new song, she needs to hear someone else sing it first so she knows how to do it. For that alone Taylor is the better singer in my opinion.

Personally I wouldn't buy either Kat or Taylor's album but I'll be watching for Elliott and Chris.

Oh yeah, can anyone image Chris singing either one of those stinker songs??? He's probably glad he didn't have to.

Taylor did alot better than Kat and considering what he had to work with, he did a marvelous job. I felt sorry for both of them that they had to perform either one of them. I too, was glad when Kat's was over. It was brutal! She did a great job on "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" again but I don't think she'll win. I believe that congratulations to Taylor are in order. I won't buy either of their albums but I will buy Chris' and Elliot's as well :)
Now I go through American Idol withdrawals and look forward to the next one. What will I do Tuesday nights?? :confused:

I believe those were 'tunesmith' songs. They are just a big pile of original songs, sitting on some guys piano. Some of them could have been written years ago.

I found them not very interesting, and had no strong 'hook'.
I did find Taylor's song to be a bit stronger though. Sorry that so much is hanging upon the tune they are dealt. That is out of their control.
Compare those 2 tunes to Fantasia's final tune, with the choir. Wow.

It's gotta be Taylor....

Kat really had an off night last night, but I still want her to win. Taylor reminded me of a bad imitation of Elvis last night. His Joe Cocker twitches were more controlled, but his voice was going. I voted for Kat - got through without too many busy signals - voted for an hour or two. Zabasearch has them neck-and-neck, but Taylor winning by a very slim margin. I had forgotten about the Toni Braxton song. She looked sorta weird and sounded even more weird. I'm a huge fan of her's but last night, she was totally off. In fact, she almost ruined the whole set, in my opinion.

Nobody has mentioned this yet but I have to say the biggest laugh I got was the hooker chick that won the award for her "colorful language". I was rolling on the floor and imitating her an hour after the show. Hilarious!! I also loved the three cowboys in Brokenote Mountain. They sounded pretty good :)

Prince looked good and his performance was great. I almost fell out of my seat when he came out. I'm missing Idol already ;)

YAY FOR TAYLOR!!!

Okay, I was rooting for Taylor (2nd to Chris) all along and then after Chris got the boot, was hoping that Taylor would win . . . I really never thought that he would though. I really figured that AI would preform some sort of magical opeartion on those poll numbers and arrange them so that Kat would get their contract - so they'd have another kelly clarkson type to work with. Guess I was wrong!

The show was AWESOME last night! I really enjoyed all the guests! It was great! I never liked Clay A. but when he came out behind that nerd, I had to laugh . . . that was hysterical! And I think that nerd thought his mic was actually on! LOL Too funny!

I just don't get the whole *Prince* thing though . . . maybe I'm too young, I don't know. He grosses me out . . . when I saw him come out, I had to just roll my eyes and think . . . geez, I'd rather see Taylor sing! Why is everyone so taken with him? I just don't get it. Anyway, I am totally happy with the results. I think that Kat will definitely find a record deal after this AI tour is over, as will A LOT of the other contestants. I can't wait to buy Taylor's first CD!!!

I just don't get the whole *Prince* thing though . . . maybe I'm too young, I don't know. He grosses me out . . . when I saw him come out, I had to just roll my eyes and think . . . geez, I'd rather see Taylor sing! Why is everyone so taken with him? I just don't get it. People hear that about me and then want to smack me, but oh well. :P I really like his song "Kiss" - and I loved it when Kellie did it this season. :) I remember watching Pretty Woman for the first time (yeeeears ago) and hearing Julia Roberts sing "Kiss" while laying in the bathtub.. and then that prompted me to think that Pretty Woman was the best movie ever! hehe... oh well, I know I'm a weird person.

OMG!!! WOW WHAT A NIGHT!!
I jumped out of my seat when Taylor WON!! I am so happy!!! :D I thought Last night was so much fun to watch!! I don't like Kat but her performance with that one guy (don't know his name) was amazing.

I loved the BrokebackNote, it was amazing, and I was laughing so Hard with the Clay Song, and yeah he looked hott for once!!! OK I had my say, and yeah Taylor!!!! Oh and Mandesa was singing that made my week, maybe even the month, I hope she has a record deal I love her to death, oh and Elliot I think he is another hott one!! His heart is in the right place(loved his mom).

I knew it would be him since the auditions. I would have had the finale be between Elliott and Tay if I had the choice. Kat is so fake to me. Her smile, it seems like it's painted on. Like she isn't enjoying herself. Taylor really does put on a show and I loved his single, "Do I Make You Proud?". Amazing. He is one awesome guy. Can't wait for the tour to hit Detroit!!! :D

As much as I love Taylor, I was hoping for Kat or Chris to win. Ah well. I thought Clay looked ADORIBLE with his hair like that. He's normally an ugly geek with a beautiful voice. That other guy was rather creepy. He was literally BOUNCING in his chair! He was like a little girl at a Backstreet Boys concert...Very creepy. Clay is a good person for making that guy so happy instead of it being some cruel joke...

I never thought I would! His song "Invisible" and his old look were enough to make me barf. But hey, people change huh? Wouldn't it be funny if in a couple years chicken little was hot?! LOL!!!

I'm not sure if Clay remade that song that he sang the other night or if it was sung just for the show, but that is definetly the style he needs to sing. He did an awesome job! Though I'd like to hear it without little gay fanboy singing along lol. But that video - I swear that thing is priceless.

I mean, I used to like the way he sounds but never liked him just because he was such a geek(I know that sounds rather predjudice)but now he's awsome! :D He earned himself tons of new fans just from the preformance.

I've only heard a few Clay Aiken songs and they sounded like a different style. Both are pop, but they are still different styles (in my opinion), if you know what I mean. I never liked the songs he's sang before but what he did the other night was awesome! The song is great and his voice is fantastic.

When is his CD coming out? I don't buy usually CDs but I might buy his because I don't usually listen to pop stations so probably wouldn't hear him on the radio much.

I was amazed at how...stupid that Michael Sandeky guy was. If there's someone much better than you singing and they turn off your mic, don't try to be heard by singing louder! As I rewatch the video, there are parts where he's trying to be heard and it sounds pretty odd havin Clay singing so great but a small, odd sound in the background.

I haven't seen anything on Reuben since he won and was on Oprah lol. I can't comment on who should've won though, because I can't recall how well Reuben sings and I don't know anything about his stage presence.

Lol! I never saw that. Yeah, Reuben was pretty ugly. Now that I think of it, Clay wasn't quite as bad as Reuben. I guess it just depends on point of veiw. Some people like Mandisa think Reuben is awsome, just like there are those that think Clay was hot before the emo hair.(And there are some that think he was hot before and are outraged at him for changing because he looks like a Beetle/mop after cleaning maple syrup)

Chicken little is cute......... Like puppy dogs and kittens, lol. But when Clay was on AI (Although that is the only season I DIDN'T watch :mad: ) He wasn't that bad. And with his short hair he was ok. But I also love the new beetle/mop (Whatever you want to call it, heh) 'do. :D It took me a while to figure out who it was at first until the showed a close-up. Hmmm, how old his he now?! :confused:
